the previa's european flair was a flop in america.apparently americans wanted a more conservative design, so as OTEP said, the previa was banished and the sienna was born.toyota did the right thing instead of sticking with the previa. after all, having a piece of the 650,000-vans-a-year-sold pie in america translates to a lot of money.and the new sienna is right on target--it is the only van selling above its MSRP and one has to wait 3+months before getting one.
altec, did you the 1st gen sienna or the latest model?
Yup, flop talaga ang Previa (the egg) sa states dahil mid-engine ang design (looks strange and very poor in crash tests). Tapos ang hina pa ng engines (for U.S. standards, at least). The addition of a supercharger later in its life did not really help much.

my family here in manila just got the previa... it's one nice van indeed... nice torque... (it's as if your driving a car...) ... roomy... i like the front/rear parking sensor... and the ride comfort is pretty good... i love the look as well...

i'd take the sienna over the previa anytime, even here in manila. masyadong wacky yung design ng previa para sa akin hehehe... and more importantly, the sienna is much bigger inside with optional seating for eight.
sikuya, I think its the latest model, kasi similar to the previa version now but much bigger, but not sure what you mean kung gen1 or latest. Diplomat plates, looks very clean and new.
Meron ding Previa sa Japan. Madali naman makilala ang dalawa. Yung Previa, parang Space Gear ang wiper na from the center going outwards ang pattern. While sa Estima ay parang ordinary wipers lang.
