First the cool cars..... (remember the Altima, Z350, the upcoming Maxima, and the upscale G35?)...... FYI, the Frontier is the only compact pickup in North America with a S/C. Then they freshened up the Quest and intoduced some neat crossovers (Murano, FX35 and the FX45) which IMO are the only SUVs that can give the X5 a run for it. Now to my main point...... how can anyone go wrong with Nissan's Titan or Armada? Just seeing those humongous workhorses brings a smile on my face Now, if I can only convince the wife.......
seen the Armada (reminds me of the Compaq Armada Notebook) and the body looks like a hybrid of Pathfinder front and Xterra rear and BIGGER, very nice nga!!!
Anyone read the Motoring section of today's Inquirer? Me bago daw na Sentra lalabas mid-2004...any idea kung ano itsura nito? My best guess would be either ung Taiwan version (from what i hear the same as the current Sentra, with a much cooler front faschia) or the sporty US version....um, industry insiders, enlighten us!
Sentra SE-R: 165hp 5 spd manual
Sentra SE-R Spec V: 175hp 6 spd manual w/ a helical lsd to handle the extra power.
To be realistic, I don't think NMPI will be bringing in any of the SE-R variants mainly because the Taiwanese do not fully comprehend the philippine market. Most Filipinos would want something sporty in their typical econo car. The Sentra that we have is or tries to be a luxury car similar to the Cefiro. Which is not bad but misses the point of being a filipino econo car. Take a look at the Civic and the Corolla, most Filipinos would say that it is sportier than the Sentra. Anyway, the refreshed Sentra will mostly look like the Australian, Singapore, etc.. Sentra see link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] The Sentra M1 is solely sold in Taiwan only. These are just my opinions though. I would really like NMPI though to bring the Altima over here. Now that car has good looks as compared to a Accord or Camry IMO. Maybe the Murano and G35 coupe' as well?
...big thanks to their CEO (bumbay ata yun eh). nissan was at the brink of bankruptcy few years back. sana lang medyo umangat na status nissan dito. sa pinas lang ata underrated ang nissan eh (with the exception of the patrols).
Yung Sentra ba sa Pinas eh Pulsar ng Australia? Hindi nga sporty ang arayb. I never liked the Sentra because of its bland designs, pero itong RED car, wow!!!
eto ang gusto kong front ng Sentra, 2003.
eto na ang sa 2004, and I still like the 2003, IMHO...really, IMHO
scarab, kaya pala ibinenta ng NMPI ng $30mil (75% of the company) sa Yulon Motor Company in mid-1999 dahil ma totodas na?
anyway, pinagpipilian ng fiancee ko kung Sentra SE-R or Accord Sedan DX (base model) both being A/T.

Ayaw nyo sa Mazdaspeed Protege? Anyway, among the choices, I would get the new Accord DX coupled with the DX package (includes A/C and some other accesories at a discounted price). This is base on safety, cargo/passenger space, performance potential and driveability (heard that the SE-Rs are unrefined, shows some torque steer even with LSDs that can be felt in the steering wheel, its ride can be bouncy at times, and road noise is awful). I also heard that the Spec V's Rockford Fosgate audio is loud (mas maganda pa rin yung sa Mazda, hehehe) and those Brembo brakes are something.
Resale value ng Accord is higher an operating costs is lower kaya pumapaling dun ang choice nya. Among its competitors naman (altima and camry), Accord is the most comfortable on long drives specially sa traffic.
speed protege is offered on a M/T only, d sya marunong ng stick eh. Parang gusto nya din ng Impreza 2.5RS pero I told her its over-priced among its competitors, not worth it.
