Default Lynx or escape(4x2)

my compadre will have his first brand new car. He's thinking to have the lynx or escape and he'll be using it most of the time for city driving.
Any advise will be appreciated.

thanks.

those are two different breed of cars!

a compact car vs. a mini-SUV

obviously, if your friend has some moolah, better spend it on a 4x2 escape. costs about 1.07M. downside? you won't get any freebies, you have to get the in house financing scheme, insurance and accessories. y? they'll prioritize you in their waiting list!

seen the 4x2 escape at ford balintawak when i was scouting for a mini-SUV (settled for a rav4 instead). no side step (not that big a deal anyway, the ground clearance is bearable), no fog lamps, no abs (WHAT?), in dash CD only, no pull up cover for your rear luggage, XLS badge.

the lynx also looks good! the interior of the ghia is really awesome! the seat cover and the finishing is superb and matches with one another. none of the fake wood on the altis! if your friend wants to soup it up, get the RS version. will cost you only P850,000. you'll get a modified grille, headlights, sideskirt, mags, spoiler, rear light cover!

yeah, 2 very different cars!

if for city driving, then i'd think the lynx would be a good choice. it should consume less fuel. with smaller dimensions, it should be easier to park. and, with it's torquey engine, it's powerful for city driving.

however, since he has the budget to consider the escape, then he probably should get it. like what mazdamazda said, though, the escape he's bound to get ain't the fully-accessorized one, unlike the Lynx which is all options.

it would help if he could set parameters for us to comment on. it's a bit too generic at this stage.

OT: regarding the RS version of the lynx, do all ford dealers offer this option?
