Is your alarm still working? If its not working, then chances are your battery was submerged.

Do you have puddles of water in the cabin's flooring? Or is it just moisture?

I'm not sure where the Tucson's ECU is located but if its behind the dash and if the lower to middle part of your dash is wet, chances are your electronics are wet as well.

Btw, Tucson's engine is located quite low for a CUV so better to check your oil dipstick for the presence of water.

thanks sa reply sir
yes there's water inside just below the seat level
battery was not submerged. actually the bat connection was remove the next day. the car is still there since the area is still flooded although knee level na lang ngayon.the oils definitely has to be changed. problem is the availability of towing services these days.
kaya we're thinking of running it just to reach the hyundai casa.
yung ecu ang hindi kami sure kaya ayaw namin try on yung engine.

don't attempt to start your engine to be safe. better safe than sorry. have your tucson towed to the nearest hyundai casa.

The sooner you can, if possible suck out the water from the inside carpets using a wet/dry vacuum cleaner. This will help avoid water stains, etc. It seems that Hyundai/Kia are doing what they can to respond to the need of the moment by offering big discounts on repair costs/labor and parts and offering to import even special parts not usually kept in stock. Let's hope though they prove this advertising with real action having the parts arrive soon. I have read postings on this site that sometimes parts arrive over a month later for the Kia Carens.

Open the air cleaner first to check if its contaminated with water. Even if water has entered through the oil dipstick, A/T dipstick, etc. The unit can still be driven to the dealership at a reasonable speed and distance.

As for the ECU, not much you can do about it except allow the car to dry first. Kung tire height lang, doubtful if the ECU got wet since it is on the same level as the seat upholstery on the Tucson, AFAIK.

anyway we have arrange a payloader pulled flat bed to bring it out of the flooded area (thigh deep pa sa gate ng village), then arrange kami another towing to the dealership

follow up question: what is the safe way to pull an automatic car? meaning hilahin na lang ng another vehicle with all tires turning. ok lang ba gawin yun?
manual recommends lifting the front tires kasi.

For emergency flat towing

Key in ON position
Battery negative terminal removed (if necessary)
Transmission in Neutral
Parking brake released

Less than 80kph
Less than 80Km

Make sure the driver in the towed vehicle knows what he is doing. No power steering, no vacuum brake assist.

Yes, the manual will recommend the most ideal. But it's not always available and less ideal solutions are still viable.

I flat towed a flooded X-trail 250X (four wheel drive, automatic home). It made it naman and is now in the process of repair. No damage from towing. Just from water contamination.

Bro,
Kapag Turn "ON" mo ang ignition, nd ba sya like naglagay ka na rin ng current sa ECU ng vehicle? Pls verify this.

Nope because the battery negative terminal is disconnected. I'll add it on my post.

The BCM is cheaper than the engine ECU, right? Yun nga lang, the BCM always seems to be at the worst possible place.
