I'm planning to buy 2nd hand Korea Starex van at Port Irene (Cagayan). Doon na rin daw ma register may LTO na rin doon. Hindi ba problema pag dinala na sa Manila ang starex van? Hindi ba yan takaw huli?
I owned one GRX unit from Cagayan, port irene, current plate # prefix is letter "B". But I acquired this unit in a supplier from Cavite they're just getting the Starex units from their head office in Cagayan.
Barely 3 mos. pa lang saken ang unit, so far so good, hindi naman sitahin as I'm driving around NCR.

Nope walang problema, pwede mo nang I renew dito sa NCR afterwards,hindi takaw huli to.
Marami akong nakikitang Starex na "B" ang simula ng plate number lately....

Last month, i bought a used starex jumbo from Korea thru Port Irene...I aquired it from a dealer located at Banawe...Unit is still in good condition but sobrang dumi lang talaga gumamit ng mga Koreans...advise ko lang if your buying one, you have to spend a couple of days to inspect and recondition the unit...in my case, tinangal ko lahat ng seats and carpet hanggang maexposed yung steel flooring...magugulat ka na bukod sa basa ang carpet, and daming dumi...have my unit experience undercoat kc simula ng naging sasakyan sya, walang undercoat kasi steel talaga ang pangilalim...please dont be fooled by the looks alone...check the engine and the aircon...kung ok pa, i guess it will be a good buy...as for the price, mas mura lang sya ng minimal compared tou our local units...so we can say na minus 30 - 60K ang bawas sa local unit's price...
Maglocal ka na lang. Di naman pinanghaharabas ang starex dito eh, unlike malay mo....sa korea, pangbusiness nila iyan.
X2 ako kay sir renzo...mas maganda talaga ang starex units natin compared from korea units...satin kasi, luxury ang tinggin at treatment ntin sa starex...sa korea, all purpose vehicle sya at madalas, pangharabas nila...kaya lang nman ako bumili ng unit from korea kasi i need a jumbo version of 2002 model which is very limited ang number here locally...kung 9 seater lang rin ang hanap nyo, maraming available sa local market...

Sir RoyA, Mas mura talaga kung sa Port Irene ka deretso kukuha pero I doubt kung makakakuha ka ng units duon kasi sa pagkakaalam ko, yung mga dumadating na units ay meron nang sure na babagsakan na tao na talagang namimili ng mga units in bulk na pang benta rin nila...mas maganda kung may contact ka dun kasi kung wala, maliit ang chances mo to get a unit...
Ano ito reconditioned unit na (repainted, new decals, new under chassi parts, new engine belts, door rubber lining, etc) or as is where is.
depende sa makakausap mong seller...syempre kung as is where is, mas mababa pero based on my experience, very minimal lang...at tska, automatic na nirerecon na agad nila yung mga units na dumadating kasi kung as is where is condition, baka ndi mabili kasi sobrang dumi at laspag nung mga units...when i bought my unit, nakita ko sya as is where is condition, sobrang dumi...buti nalang, maayos pa yung aircon at engine kaya kinuha nrin nmin...ano ba sir balak mo bilhin> 9 seater or 11 seater (jumbo)?

Yung GRX (bug eye headlight) kong nakuha is 99 model in Korea but 2004-05 series sa atin. Newly painted, new matting, leather seat, all front& rear lights are new c/w chrome plastic decals around, side mirror has the L-R signal light (local natin wala), new hyundai silver rain gutter, all hoses & pang ilalim restored na rin. When I got it, it's ready to rock n roll, to date its still working fine & superb..I acquired it 525k!
