sabi nila yung unang model matagtag daw, di ko lang alam kc i'm used to the riding comfort of mine. i used to drive a '97 pajero so masasabi kong gusto ko ride ng '06 fortuner.
according to the review and other peeps around here, nag improve naman daw regarding on the new model.
since it's a truck-based SUV, expect the ride not as good as the crossover SUVs. if you want an alternative for this one, the "real" alternative, check out the Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
nga pala, i just passed by NLEX at palabas ako ng Angeles Exit this morning lang. nakita ko delivery truck ng toyota (i saw the "toyota" sa side ng truck) sa side mismo ng exit loaded with cars (vios, altis, fortuner). i noticed that the head of the said truck yuping yupi. yung fortuner at vios na nasa upper deck, sira na yung front nila (they were positioned face to face). nanlumo ako sa nakita ko, nasasayangan ako, wala pa plaka tapos masisira lang. yung ibang cars na hindi na-damage nililipat sa ibang carrier. i think they were being delivered further north luzon. di ko lang nakuhanan ng picture kc male-late na ko sa office...

Sigurado i-repair nila yan then ibebenta ulit as brand new. Kawawa naman makakakuha ng mga yan. Did you notice the colors of the cars?

base sa nabasa kong STAR editors pick dito sa tsikot, yung nagmention ng fortuner na bago sabi naayos naman daw ng toyota yung matagtag na ride na nasa previous, test drive na lang po kayo sir to judge. mamaya kasi super sensitive lang mga katawan ng mga nagsasabing matagtag tapos pagdating sa inyo comfortable naman
I have a new facelifted fortuner G, 2.7VVTi, I would say medyo matagtag pa din. If I compare it with my xtrail its a lot matagtag or maybe because xtrail is car based SUV and seats only 5, also more matagtag with Vitara a framed SUV. I dont know with the older fort I haven't tried one.

how about yung 4*2 at 4*4 na fortuner na latest hindi na ba matagtag
"Tagtag" ride is really very relative. What do you expert from a truck chassis with a relatively large tires? Cannot compare with those of a sedan or the sedan-based CUVs and crossovers.
As it is ---better that any pick up save the current Strada.
The funny thing is we all complain matatag ang Fortuner, its inherent to its platform. Rather if you are planning to use the vehicle only in the cities or at least paved areas maybe truck based SUV's is not the vehicle you should be buying dapat crossover na lang. You get the ride comfort and handling of a car but with the utility not found on sedans.

bakit naman masasayang...currently i have 2008 altis a more comfortable (not handling) than civic,mazda 3 or even focus,i was an owner of innova that expert say carlike comfort to ride for mpv for more than a year.this 2 car is consider a more comfortable to ride on thier category,in short i can say i know what is matagtag and what is not...i am now an owner of the facelifted fort, i will assure you the ride comfort is acceptable just keep the tire pressure be 30-32 psi...the tagtag is not that much as what other says...its exaggerated. i got 2 grown up kids both are able to drive our altis, everytime we go out of town my daughter occupy the 2nd row then my son in the 3rd row. i'm from quezon we go several time to manila,to subic,laguna etc...most of our travel they went sleep and no complain about tagtag sarap nga ng tulog dahil nagigising lang pag nasa mall na or sa place na pupuntahan...its worth to own a fort...
