For me, the NEW HONDA CITY 1.3S i-DSI w/ CVT. Much more fuel efficient with the best looking body styling than the VIOS. And with all the amenities and safety and innovative features given today in a sub-compact sedan. Also, its the more bang for the buck subcompact sedan with its pricing compared with the VIOS. The selling point lang ng VIOS in IMHO is its 1.5L engine with VVT-i. However, I wont just be looking sa engine lang. Also VVT-i though "new" technology sa TOYOTA, the i-DSI engine is much anewer technology as well as the VTEC3 and I-VTEC. Now, those are "ENGINES". IHMO lang po. PEACE.
pero for a 1.3L 7 speed CVT tranny, parang you'll need more gas to maximize the engines potential IMO
we dont know that yet unless actual tests and comparos are made. but i seriously doubt that you'll need more gas to maximize the engine since dual spark plugs sya and this means it burns the fuel much better than the old configuration (4 sparkplugs per cylinder). And yun max torque nya is only at 2800rpm (less pedal to the metal). I'm just thinking out loud. but i'm confident the NEW CITY would be much more than the average 1.3L cars we see today.
i'd go for the city... the overall package, especially the interior, seems to be more attractive than what the vios has to offer. considering what these machines were designed for (city use), the engine in the city is more than adequate and is more practical. and i never did like the center-mounted instrument cluster in the new toyota subcompacts... hehe
