Hingi ho ako ng payo , bibili ho ako ng b13 nissan ano ho ba ang mas matipid sa gas sa 3 nakita ko na ito
1. 1992 Nissan eccs 1.6
2. 1993 Nissan JX 1.3 twin cam
3. 1993 Nissan LEC 1.3 16 valve dohc

Patulong naman sa pag pili ng pinaka matipid sa gas, sabi daw ?? eccs kahit daw 1.6 yon mas matipid daw don sa 2 hindi eccs, Tama ho ba yun ???

setter, kung babad sa trapik, smaller is triftier...pero ako 1.6L eccs sentra ako--kasi all power, may alarm na at kung SE_saloon grade pa--may 4wheel disc brakes+abs pa!

eto nalang isipin mo-- ung binabayaran mong extra sa consumo is for the extra power na bibigay ng 1.6L engine lalo na sa country road overtaking...plus extra aquisition cost is for the factory extras that come with the ssaloon sentra.

for me yung eccs 1.6 lec din. teka akala ko ba gusto mo yung mazda na dilaw ba yun, nagbago na naman choices mo..

yung eccs ang matipid kasi electronic na yan. but depende din sa driving style mo po.

The 1.3 is more economical in traffic... only if the carburator is in good condition. It takes more maintenance to keep the FC good on the 1.3 engine than on the 1.6, but it's just a matter of carb cleaner sprayed down the carb and some DIY choking done in your garage.

The 1.3, if I remember right, has slightly shorter gearing, too, to make up for the lack of torque.

But the 1.6 is a better car, overall... just keep the MAF sensor clean and the car tuned up and it should return somewhat decent mileage, depending on the engine's condition.

mga tol gud pm. i drive a super saloon. i run maybe 1 liter to 7 kms. a buddy sad the car should run at 1 to 12. ok pa ba ang consumption ko? thanks mga pre.

It all depends on where you drive. If you drive in Makati-level traffic and/or drive only a very short distance on your regular commute, 7 km/l is likely normal.

When you take short trips, fuel consumption is high because of the extra gasoline used up during cold running. When you drive in traffic... well, when you're idling at a stoplight, you're getting 0 kilometers per liter.

The 1.6 should return between 12-16 km/l on the highway.

Thanks nikky. pansin ko nga grabe sa gas pag short trips lang. any tip on how to save gas? downhill ako kaya minsan i just let it roll down. hehehe.

If it's an old car, chances are your thermostat is either loose or has been removed. Replace it with a brand new thermostat so the car gets up to temperature quickly. It's also possible your fans have been "rekta'd" (rekta- direct to the battery with no on-off relay). Fix that, too.

The faster the car gets to operating temperature, the less gas it will use. Once you've had your thermostat fixed/refreshed/re-installed/whatever, you should only warm up for 30 seconds or less in the morning before you go out. Driving the car circulates the coolant faster than idling in the garage, which in turn, warms up the car faster.

Inflate your tires, properly. 30-32 psi is sufficient. You can try 35, but if it's too uncomfortable for you, forget it.

The rest is just proper driving. Keeping it under 2000-2500 rpm, driving with the flow... in other words, if you see that you'll have to stop up ahead, don't build up too much speed. Sayang lang yung gas. And keep the aircon thermostat just at the point where it's cool... not super-cold. This should help you gain 10-20% more fuel economy.

for sale ang Nissan Eccs ko cp#09238269551/[Only registered and activated users can see links. ], tama sila super tipid sa gas kahit na 1.6L ang engine, yung FC ko city driven 10-11km/L, sa highway 12-13km/l naka EFI kasi pero ang hatak grabe wala ka kabitin sa overtake, pero depende na rin sa driving style mo of course.
