Default Please help on Entry-level SUV choice

Hi,

I have P1.2M as a budget for an entry level SUV. I really don't want to spend much more than this. Looking at the options available, I have shortlisted the choices as follows (no particular ranking):

1. Hyundai Tucson
2. Mazda Tribute
3. Subaru Forester

Any suggestions for the group? It will be used mainly as a family car (2 kids).
Day to day use and maybe some out of town trips.

Any other suggestions not on my list? The Outlander, Santa Fe and Sorrento are more expensive and I don't want to add that much. I'm not too hot on the x-trail, CRV, RAV4. The Fortuner daw doesn't have a good ride.

I plan to test drive them but would appreciate initial comments.

TIA!

i am also eyeing on the tucson, but i really don't know if i can afford it as of now.
my consideration? its because of the CRDi engine. the others among your choices are quite gasoline drinkers.

one more, if you can afford is the Sta. Fe or the Kia Carens. although the carens is more of an mpv than a CUV.

Then the Hyundai Tucson it is IMO... If you can't go for a Santa Fe due to budget constraints then the Tucson should be it.... And oh buy the CRDi variant....

Bro,

Danda nga ng mga choices mo, Tucson or Carens. Pero kung sa akin lang din I'd Go for the Carens.

for me Carens is a good choice just buy the LX Crdi variant and upgrade it with kis like mags and everything. This car is fast it drives like a gasoline engine. I've reach 200+ kph yesterday and it still runs smooth. (See Kia Carens thread).

If looks and you don't mind about the fc. you could pick mitsubidhi outlander 4x2 they have released 1,150k model. Escape is also good.

Hi bro, out of your choices, I would go for the Hyundai Tucson CRDi. Being a CRDi, it's pretty economical and yet still powerful enough.

You can also consider the Kia Sportage CRDi or the Kia Carens CRDi. The Carens is not an SUV though, more of an MPV but it does have a fold-down third passenger row which may prove useful on out-of-town trips.

Personally, I would really pick the Kia Carens (being the car that I'll be getting very soon).

for me. ford everest 4X2 m/t at 1.250M - walang tapon. with 2.5L Diesel, 4-Cylinder, 16-Valve, DOHC, Direct Injection Common Rail Turbo w/ Intercooler - definitely bigger among your choices. and lastly it's a rear wheel drive. sa color: highlight silver or black mica

Feature-wise and considering your purposes, I'll go for the Subaru Forrester. Or, if you're also considering FC on a long-term use basis, get the Crdi-powered Tucson.

thread starter, if you want a 7 seater SUV, then you should get the Foed everest. just add 50k on your budget and your done. if not, i suggest hyun tucson or kia sportage crdi, thinking that oil prices are going skyhigh. why dont you consider a pickup? strada? or navara? or ranger?

and oh, if you want a 4x4 SUV under the 1.2m price tag, sportage. hands down

Masyado na marami suggestions.

Howbout a 4x2 Strada? Just put a canopy. Wont exceed P1M.

this is very true...

The Mitsu Outlander 4x2 is at 1.249M with a very good discount.

The Strada 2.5 GLS 4x4 (P1,100,000) + canopy is also something sensible.
