whistling sound corolla 16v efi 4afe

hello everybody! i have a 93 16v corolla 4afe. ask ko lang if ung hose which is attached on top of the cover parallel dun sa pcv valve hose un ba ung breather tube? i detached it from the cervo/throttle kasi pumipito makina pag naka attach. when i put my finger sa tube na un, pumipito at may parang may vacuum sa engine, kung aalisin ko naman finger ko, nawawala ung whistling sound, so now, i just detach it para mawala ung annoying nd whstling sound. ano kaya problem mga pre? tingin ko parang walang pumapasok na hangin sa makina galing sa throtte yata un o cervo! i think ok naman un pcv valve ko, one thing more, pag inalis ko ung cove, ung pinaglalagyan ng oil, parang hinihigop ito ng malakas at nawawalaung pito! help po!!!

by the way, its been 2 weeks nang hindi naka attach ung hose na un sa makina galing sa cervo area or intake manifold or throttle, di ko po alam tawag dun. basta pareho sila ng hose ng pcv valve, mahigit isang dangkal lang pagitan nila sa pcv valve, parehong nakakabit sa cover ng engine, ung sa pcv valve nakakabit papunta sa baba, dun sa intake manifold, ung isa naman, sa taas malapit sa throttle body, un lang po

Don't leave the hose unattached... that'll allow air in after the air filter. plug it with something. Open hoses in your vacuum system is a big no-no.

You may check yung "check valve" na nakakabit sa cylinder head cover ng 4AFE engine mo. Your "check valve" maybe worn out already. If you are facing your car's engine, may two hose na nasa isang dangkal which is attached from you engine to your efi...vise versa. Yung nasa right side na hose, yung sa engine side, there is a check valve there (hard molded plastic) pull it out, yun yung bibilhin mo. But you need to fist check it out if it is still functioning properly.

Imo, mag pa vacuum pump and intake pipe cleaning ka nalang muna. baka dirt and sludge lang yan, making the whistle sound.

or...

an easy noise elimination remedy would be making your self a oil catch can similar to a design like this:



the simota like airfilter in top that costs 200 petot will help not build blowing pressure or enough suction pressure between the two lines.

of course, this wouldn't solve the main problem. hehe...
