If all other parameters are equal, sa Accord na ako. It is a class above Civic.

Thanks pero I wonder bakit mas mahal ang civic sa accord?
a 1996 civic is about 200k- 230k while an accord of the same year
is less.

Ang Accord, mas mahal ang maintenance, mas mahal ang pyesa bukod sa mahirap maghanap, at mas malakas sa gas, among others, IMO.

Kung ganito katanda na model, go for a civic. Mas praktikal.

+1. The bigger the car, the more expensive the parts.

Only go for the Accord if the transmission is in good condition and it doesn't have any kalampag issues. Otherwise, go for the Civic.

Also boils down to maintenance and the current condition as well as service history of the car. Like Niky said masmahal Accord in terms of parts and maintenance so hopefully hindi siya nalaspag compared sa Civics of the same year.

Why did you think of the Accord in the first place? There must be a reason why you considered it too.

Go for the Accord (Gen 5). It's way, way better than the EK.

I also considered the EK and the Accord when I was in the market for a 2nd hand coding car. Test-drove both, and the Accord came out way ahead (performance, exterior looks and comfort). Tutal sabi mo naman, FC is not an issue.

Yun nga lang, as others have said, parts are a little bit more expensive. Pati registration (mid-sized cars kasi naglalaro sa 6k and reg. fee, compared to ~2.3k for compacts).

kung brand new and maintenance and gas is not an issue, go for the accord. But if you are buying 2nd hand, go for the civic.
