Toyota's 08 Vios 1.3E M/T or Yaris M/T

Hi guys!

Feedback naman from owners of subject cars in terms of fuel consumption and why did you consider getting it rather than another car.

Vios 1.3E M/T = P650k
Yaris 1.5 M/T = P713k less P50k = P663k

I own both Yaris M/T and the '08 Vios but it's a 1.5 variant. I'll reccomend the Vios 1.3 for fuel efficiency, space and comfort. The Yaris has also great space but with the 1.5 engine it consumes more fuel. The Yaris is also fun to drive compared Vios.

yaris is shorter and lighter than the vios so the fuel consumption maybe comparable...with the current promo of the yaris i go for the yaris

get the yaris..its so fun to drive..it also looks much better than the vios..They have a package promo sa toyota shaw..yaris with concept one mags and nitto tires for P 733,000..ganda pla ng yaris pg customized!

Yaris hatch does look good. Very euro looking, well it was designed in France.

Does anybody know if the RS style bumper is available here?

PS: I wonder when the facelifted model will get to the RP/Thailand.

I still find the Yaris expensive for it's size. Although it definitely looks more chic than the '08 Vios, the Vios will be more practical for me. Space wise.

I can't wait to see my white Yaris 1.5 M/T. I'm getting it tomorrow afternoon. The following comparison made me choose Yaris over Vios.

I've read from one thread that Vios 1.3 gen2 is 100kg heavier than Vios 1.3 gen1, thus, Vios 1.3 gen2 may be underpowered for its body.

I find this discussion somewhat funny.

Because what you call the "Vios" is actually the Yaris sedan.

They're the same car. Except the Yaris hatch is only sold in "G" variant (2 airbags, ABS) compared to the Yaris sedan.

Akala ko naming convention lang from different countries.

Anyway, my friend here has a yaris hatch..it is so fun to drive. but the space is small.

P663k at Toyota Manila Bay. Freebies = floor mats, tints, seat covers, under coat, and 10% discount on every checkup. It's so nice and roomy. Two (2) balikbayan boxes can easily fit at the back w/ the rear seat folded. I also tried carrying two (2) big styros at the back w/o folding the rear seat.

I have no regrets buying my Yaris. It's definitely a good buy.
