Default Innova owners. Need HELP!!!

I'm planning to get an Innova this December, but until now I still don't know what variant I should get. Medyo di pa kasi ako familiar sa mga toyota cars since galing ako sa nissan so hesitant pa ko kung Diesel ba or Gas kunin ko. Pag gas sabi nila mas matulin, silent engine, walang sakit sa ulo kasi di hinuhuli for smoke belching and mas mura maintenance kaso baka sabi din lakas ata sa Gas innova 2.0 Gas and I prefer A/T. Pag diesel naman mas malakas daw hatak, matulin din mas Fuel Efficient the fact na 2.5 it can still run 10-13 km/li acc. to Toyota kaso mahal naman daw maintenance. Napansin ko din kasi na parang mas offered yung Gas Variant sa Toyota (50T discount compared to other variants) kaya naisip ko baka kasi hindi mabili siguro nga kasi malakas sa Gas IMO ???. First time ko rin hahawak ng Diesel so alam ko medyo maninibago ko. Need to know lang exactly what the differences are of these Variants - ok din ba diesel ng Toyota? pero big factor din kasi sakin Fuel Efficiency, sabi sa toyota Gas can run 8-9 km/li lang and Diesel daw 10-13 km/li

Really need help pls.!!! I'll appreciate your replies..thanks

Options: Innova E or G and Gas or Diesel - I prefer A/T po. Pang Family use

Factors that I consider:
1. Fuel Consumption
2. Torque
3. Features/Accessories
4. the likes - kayo na po bahala

Get the diesel version. The gasoline version is quieter, yes, but the diesel engine is a much, much better choice.

Variant? It's up to you. I'd get the cheapest one with power windows and leave it at that.

i have the J variant, Gas...IMO manageable naman FC nya... so far, i'm averaging 8-9km/l city driving while 11-12km/l highway naman with moderate traffic... 2,800km pa lang odo reading ko... ang alam ko magi improve pa FC nya... kung gusto mo environment friendly, tahimik makina... get the Gas variant... kung torque and mas fuel efficient hanap mo... then Diesel...

the E variant is already packed with power locks, power windows, driver side airbag.

Default Re: Innova owners. Need HELP!!!

papalord,

Same here. From Nissan ako to Toyota. I was impressed lalo na sa A/C.

Anyway, I also had a hard time deciding if Gas or Diesel ang kunin ko but eventually I opted to take the Gas version. Mine is J. I'm averaging 7.65 Km/L with mostly heavy traffic. I experienced 10-11 Km/L with very minimal traffic mostly city driving. Never tried long ditances yet.

It's your choice pa din sir. Good Luck!

Default Re: Innova owners. Need HELP!!!

i just checked out the innova as one of my friends sister is also in the market for this vehicle.

For the thread starter, if your used to gas and FC is not that big as a factor of purchasing your vehicle, stick with gas.

but if you want to try out diesel for the first time, you wont go wrong with innova. (i think they fixed their d4d problem).

as per maintenace, they are almost the same in cost.

the gas variant is given more discount because the sales is not as strong as the diesel variant.

Salamat ng marami sa replies mga PAPS!!!

According to other threads may problem daw D4D ng Innova dati but naayos na daw, ok ba talaga Diesel version ng Innova sa ngaun since nagawa na yung problem dati. Mas responsive daw diesel and torquish compared to Gas, is it true?. And since A/T kunin ko, ok din ba matic sa diesel?or mas maganda sa GAS in terms of FC, torque and HP or mas ok kung manual na lang. lastly po sa E and G variant, worth it ba yung 100T diff. ng dalawa? and sa Aircon po pala, since galing ako sa nissan(known sa cold aircon)ok din ba aircon ng innova?sensya na sa common questions, gsto ko kasi wala na ko pagsisihan pag nakuha ko na unit.
salamat po ulet!!!

i have an innova gas. i picked it simply because i am the one maintaining it and i have limited knowledge with diesel engines aside from the fact na napapa-iling ako pag nakakita ako ng umang fx. ;-)
E or G: i do like customizing my ride. imho, take the E variant (for the power windows and the rear wipers) then keep the 100K difference for beefing up your accessories. in the end mas, pogi yung E kesa sa G at the same price.

Personally, kung ako bibili kukunin ko yung E na diesel na matic, I think yung problema ng Toyota sa D4D solved na yata. I think this is the best value in the Innova line. I will not shell out the extra money for a G model because you basically get the same amenities with the E model, I think the main difference is that you get more chrome trim outside and better upholstery and wood panel inside, which in all honesty I can live without.

My Dad just got his 2.0 Gas G A/T Innova last week. He was initially supposed to get a 2.5 Diesel E A/T, but when we visited the showroom to have a look at possible colors, he mas dismayed that the E was closer to the J in spec. Although he liked the dark, low maintenance interior of the E, his main disappointment was non-power side mirrors that had to be adjusted from outside the cabin (no lever inside). We did the computation and it turned out he had to add about P36K for a G (although Gas) A/T Innova, which had almost all the features of the top of the line V, so he ended up getting the G.

I'd have to agree with ronw123w124 though, if you're planning to mod your Innova, get the E and use the money saved for accessories. In my Dad's case, well, he wasn't planning to do much modding, and he was really turned off by the side mirror, so he decided to forego the diesel.

We were also seriously considering an Innova recently but since we could only get the J model with our budget, we decided to postpone our purchase.

My vote goes to the E diesel automatic. You already get power windows and ABS with this. I don't see any additional need to upgrade to the G model since they came out with the a/t E version.

Nice choice of variant, I totally agree with you, you gonna love Avonni for sure. Had I got that much money, I would have gone also from E to G (D4D A/T) or with that extra money,I would have also considered KIA Carnival if I may just say so.

"A full-sized MPV for the price of an entry-level one? With the Kia Carnival, you better believe it. Spawned off an all-new platform, this CRDi-powered MPV has features in cars costing almost twice as much. LWB EX model has king-sized seating for 8, while LX has perfectly adequate room. Americans seem to love this Kia, and there's no surprising why." - Motioncars.com

I got an E without a power mirror, the last time I had adjusted that mirror was when I took the car out at Toyota Makati, maybe I'm just lucky, since three months after then, never have I re-adjust the powerless mirror. I got a D4D engine (this one made me decide), less 36k and less power mirror, fair enough I believe. IMO

Cheers

What is the big difference between Innova and starex with reference to their specs below. Seems like Starex has the edge over Innova since it has higher classification of performance esp. DSL to DSL.
Ano kaya reason ng Toyota kung bakit mas mababa output ng Innova compared to its predecessors.

i went some time to Toyota (may iba pa pala?) and inquire about the G and E diesel MT series, in one of the possible accessories they suggested to me, lalagyan daw ng TURBO TIMER... would that enhance the speed or just improve its fuel efficiency.

my eyes are almost all set to innova G diesel MT.

...but, i still have to read some of the expert opinions regarding this matter.

...sayang, walang black sa E series, ganda pa naman sana kung 'accessorized' yet cheaper than the G series.

thanks for the advice.
