Re: 2003 Kia Rio vs Honda hatchback 94
What's the price?
The Honda Hatchback has a much better engine, and probably better fuel economy if the engine is in good running condition. It also drives better, too.
BUT: That's a thirteen year old car. That year-model of Honda is notorious for roof-rusting, for one, and you should check that the suspension, bushings, paint, cooling system and everything else is in good working condition. Check the wiring, too, as it can get ratty on old cars (specially if it's loaded to the gills with a power hungry sound system. If it's well maintained and the roof doesn't seem like it's going to cave in, it's an okay car.
The Rio is a decent, painless daily driver. Parts are harder to find, but not impossible (Columbia Motors should carry them). The body should be in better shape than the Civic's, but check anyway, just in case. Kinda boring, though.
