diba yun ang safety feature ng mga sasakyan? crumple zone? to absorb the impact... dahil kung sobrang tigas nung harapan, sigurado patay yung mga nasa passenger cabin. IMO lang po
Ewan ko lang. Kasi siguro kung medyo napalambot yung kaha malamang pareho kaming na-ospital. Pero sa tigas ng frame, I walked away with only a bruise on my shoulder.
Crumple zones are good up to a certain speed. Above it, the cabin of the vehicle will get violated already.

mukhang medyo misleading din yung pic sa itaas... relatively slight damage lang yung montero, but it's possible that that was the case because the ram was braking very hard upon contact, so nakababa yung nguso niya and hit just the area of the montero's rear bumper...? (i'm not implying anything about the ram's or montero's general crashsafety though)

imho, base on the pics given, mas madali ata i-repair yung ram dahil harap lang ang damage, replacement parts and a little alignment will do unlike the pajero na bumaluktot ang buong body. more effort to bring back to its original state...

basically, I was fixing to make a right hand turn into a parking lot. therefore since I was starting to turn my wheels it sent me into a spin. instantly the driver seat gave way sending me halfway into the rear seat on my back looking at ceiling. I could tell I was spinning but couldnt tell where I was. also felt like I was going to roll. I think I was until driver side, passenger door area, hit a billboard post. this, I think, accelerated my spin a little more. I came to rest in a parking space. looked like I had meant to park there. I was taken to hospital. nothing too major, bunged ankle and the usual... after wreck everything on your body hurts... soreness. I was off work for about 3 1/2 weeks. since then I have been driving a loaner rig from my uncle. the Monty has been setting until last week when it warmed up and I started to tinker around and see what I could possibly fix myself. got drivers seat bent back into to place. It works for right now. I have thought about finding another Monty I could drop my drivetrain in but finances are holding me back on that. so, I will have to fix it little by little until I finally get enough $$$ saved up or I get a settlement (attorney working on that). luckily my wife's ex-husband does salvage and body work as hobby. so, he will be able to help me out in that department. just going to take time.
Safe Wheelin'
