S2000 for me. The RX8 is nice but has had too many problems since it was introduced in the market. As a previous poster said it eats oil among others and some of the other problems has required the owners to get the engine replaced by Mazda under warranty. That's not something I want if I buy a car much more if I buy a sports car.

they are both have high revving engine but overall im leaning over the S2000 since ive heard tons of engine problems on the RX-8, and i heard it drinks oil like a V8 engine.
The only real issue with the RX8 is the oil eating. So far, it's not as problematic as the older RX7 twin turbo engines.
That said... it's a tough choice... both cars are high-revving screamers... both great handlers (although the RX8 is quite soft compared to the S2000), and both add a certain drama to the driving experience.
The RX8 would allow me to share that with my friends (seats four)... but heck... I'm selfish... give me the privacy of the S2000 any day.

this is a very tough choice. ultimately i will cross my fingers (and hope for no reliability gremlins) and pick the RX8 because of the 2+2 configuration. i have had a 2-seat car before and for someone who has to drive friends and family around so much, the S2K will be left in the garage 80% of the time.

My friend has an RX8, pinaka maling desisyon daw na ginawa nya nun binili nya yun sasakyan. Hindi talaga maganda mga naririnig ko tunkol sa sasakyan na ito. Bottom line poor fuel efficiency pati yun problema sa langis.
Since neither are available here through local dealers... I'd go for the RX-8 if I were living in the USA.
The 2+2 seating configuration is hard to pass up if you are a family man (how cool would it be able to fit in child seats at the back? ). C&D had a long-term RX-8 in its fleet AFAIK and they were pretty pleased with it (I can live with its constant oil thirst and not so good gas consumption).
