what is the difference between vr4 and vr6?

what is the difference between mitsubishi galang vr4 and vr6? kc nalilito kung ako sa makina nila ito ba ay 16 valve or 24 valve?

16 valve po....mas matakaw sa gas ang vr6 pero mas malakas ang hatak

VR4->mitsubishi galant trim na naka 4wd.

VR6->name of the v6 performance engine used by volkswagen.

pero kung sa local ad-> both are VR-trim galant, 4 kasi inline-4, 6 kasi V6.

parehong 2.0 lang yan, sandali lang nilabas ang 2.5v6 dito. kaya sa consumo di nagkakalayo ang v6 at i-4....pero sa hatak, iba parin ang hatak ng v6, sa maintenance, masmadaming parts ang v6.

VR - local Galant with 6-cylinder engine
VR4 - flagship JDM Galant with a turbo 4-cylinder engine and 4WD.

VR6 is completely diverse from Mitsubishi. It's a term applied to some Volkswagen 6-cylinder models.

If you're referring to just Mitsubishi models there's actually no such thing as a Galant VR6. It's supposed to be Galant VR-V6.

Then again you have some people misrepresenting regular Galant GTis as Galant VR4s. The real VR4s have a turbocharged engine and 4wd. Galant VR4 started out as Mitsubishi's rally homologation car, and Mitsubishi continued making the Galant VR4s even after they stopped using them in rally and switched over to the Lancer Evolutions.

6th gen VR4 (early 90s) = 2.0li I4 turbo (4G63T), AWD, 4wheel steering
7th gen VR4 (mid 90s) = 2.0li V6 twin turbo (6A12TT), AWD
8th gen VR4 (late 90s-early 2000s) = 2.5li V6 twin turbo (6A13TT), AWD, AYC (from the Evos)
