Good engine and great truck, it has the most powerful base engine of any full size truck. Early models with the Dana 44(off road model w/ M226 axle Nissan model code) variant rear axle had a habit of breaking it because of the power. I believe Nissan had fixed that problem by 2006 and will put the 4.0L V6 in it as the new base engine for 2008. For 2006 it had a 5.6L V8 with 305hp and 379 lb-ft. 4x4 models with the off road option could be had with a electronic locking rear differential, while the other models could be optioned with a anti-lock brake limited slip(abls) for either 4x2 or 4x4 models.

You asked about a 2006 model yet you quote from a 2007 model. Like what M54 said what do you want people to say? You can obviously cut and paste from the Nissan website spec sheet. Do you even know what half those things in spec sheet are? Is this like your thread about the Yaris and Jazz in which you just wanted to hear your opinion?

Probably the most off-road capable U.S. market half-ton out there... Had rear axle breakage problems if equipped with large off-road tires... As redorange states, this has been rectified for 06 and later models... Capable off-road due to 4-wheel traction control and rear locking diff... Won't beat a Dodge Power Wagon though due to the PW's solid axles, locking diffs, 4.56 gears, 2.72 low range, stabilizer disconnect, 33" tires and factory 12,000 winch...

If you must have a pickup then it's the Power Wagon... If you must have a half-ton then the Titan is a very good choice...
