2001 corolla XL vs 2004 nissan sentra GX

Looking to buy either a corolla XL 1.3 2001 model or opt for the newer 2004 nissan sentra gx 1.3 for the use of taxi. Which 1 has the best fuel consumption? I would of thought the sentra would be more fuel efficent as it has Efi; corolla has carb set up. And in terms of maintanence and reliability, which 1 should i go for? Your input and suggestions would be much appreciated.

For taxi i'd look at the Corolla as this has more parts and is also more fuel efficient.
