Default 2007 Toyota Fortuner in July

I decided to buy a Toyota Fortuner so I went to TQA last Saturday to inquire. The SA I talked to told me that they were advised by Toyota to mention that the new 2007 Fortuner will arrive in July. He said new headlights, front grille, head unit, improved ABS (with EBD maybe?). Anybody got more information about this? Any spy shots? Is it worth to wait?

i doubt that TMPI will do that. it would just jeopardize their current stock of fortuners as buyers would just wait for the upgraded fortuner.

i've also heard about this "upgraded" fortuner. surely, ipapasa rin sa consumer yun additional costs of the upgrades... baka mahigit na 1.7M yun fort if ever.

until now they're still selling the old fort - well the one with no leather, splash guards etc.

Maybe the SA wants you to buy at July bec. this is traditionally when the weak sales month starts (and ends until Nov).

IMO, it is the Innova that needs a makeover right now and not the Fortuner.

malamang head unit nyan touchscreen system or lcd system na.

so i believe it's better to postpone your Fortuner purchase. in the meantime, mag innova ka muna hehehe

Forgot to ask about that. Sana nga 3rd gen na saka may intercooler for the 2.5 crdi. I've been hearing kasi that this variant is underpowered.

I'm just wondering, the other dealership says no more stock on the 2006 model and what they are selling now is the 2007 model. So bakit yung upgraded or facelifted na lalabas sa July ay 2007 pa rin?

Well, that's true... But specifically he said that it is an advise to would be customers so that if ever they would buy the current ones they will not complain later on that they were not told about the upcoming facelifted Fort.

safala - did the SA mention anything regarding a new tranny? The rumor mill has been "speculating" on a 2007 Fort with manual option.

Spoke to a friend of mine from TMP and he said that a manual tranny variant will be out this 2007.

Well, it seems that TMP now has a conscience, huh. I bought a 2001 Revo SRJ 2.0 A/T Dec. 23, 2001. Before buying it, I asked the SA if a new model will be coming out. She answered in the negative, a few weeks later, the Revo VX200 came out, at almost the same price. I complained to her upon seeing the VX 200 and she said that they were not advised. It's good that they are now advising would be Fort buyers 5 months in advance...

Btw, I got a 2.7G Fort last year. At least I would not complain now if ever they release a face-lifted Fort by July...hehe...

i agree. Dapat nga they wouldn't disclose that because sila din magsusuffer kung sasabihin nila yun. Eh di nawalan sila ng benta.

Lets just wait and see though
