hey guys the toyota has a plan to make Avanza taxi.
Can you give your comment about this Toyota Avanza will make Taxi.

The Avanza is designed to cater to commercial and fleet sales. And yes, that includes taxi cabs. I don't see anything wrong with that. Avanzas are 7-seat compact MPV's. However, present legislation will only allow for white-colored 5-seater Avanzas to be used as taxis (the third row seat and associated hardware is deleted in the Taxi model). You can see Avanza taxis in Caloocan. That's where the carbarns of some of the Metro's largest taxi companies are located.

The Vios is being repositioned towards the retail/private market.

What I know is that the 3rd row will be optional for taxi cabs.

oh by the way, the avanza is spacious. I havn't seen any avanza taxis yet. Time to retire those ae101 corollas, itlog lancers and LEC Sentras? heheheh

Pwedeng may third row for airport taxis, rental fleet, etc. But for a regular LTFRB-franchised taximeter cab, 5 pa din ang limit. Otherwise, the vehicle will fall into the next classification (yung malabong classification na 'for hire' at 'mega taxi').

Given the volume of for-taxi purchases by cab companies, does it still make sense to import Avanza(s) from Indonesia? I mean Toyota might consider doing some assembling of Avanza(s) here in the Philippines esp. since the Indonesian plants recently added South Africa to its export country list for the Avanza.

the new avanza (2007) model will come up with water sprinkler HU attached plus 36lbs fire extinguisher.. the high end unit will have 10m fire hose with the steering wheel acting as reel... this is to cater the growing demands of POLITICIANS... joke..joke..joke

It is disappointing that Toyota Philippines only offers the color white avanza in its taxi models. Perhaps the higher variant Avanza's would be offered in white by 2007.

Toyota might offer white in the high-end variant but probably the white-pearl shade of white and not the same shade of white as the taxi variant.

Carlo, you recent post the Corolla Altis Taxi. Talagang masama ang loob kasi ginagawa ng toyota ang Altis pang tax. Pero ngayon Bye, Bye na sa Altis taxi kasi may Avanza Taxi na heheheh..
