Default CORONA EX vs CORONA EXSIOR

aside sa exterior aesthetics, ano pa ang pagkaka-iba ng dalawang auto na ito?

I used to own an EX and as far as I know wala naman pinagkaiba except for the body - EX is Euro while Exsior is US Version.

Have a 96 exsior. Tingin ko mas mahaba lang yung bumper ng exsior. Pero mas type ko yung EX na euro bumper. Lalo na kung immaculate white.

The best pa rin ang looks ng Corona EX and Exsior on its original stock appearance.

EX Saloon:

no airbag
no abs
manual lever/dial type aircon
no shift indicator in panel gauge for a/t

Exsior:

driver side airbag
abs
push button climate control
shift indicator in instrument panel for a/t
LE models have an air purifier at the rear shelf

hope this helped

The EX Saloon Euro (with the black outline bumpers... sold between 95 to 96) had ABS and airbags already.

Actually, this Corona model was never available in the US, while in Europe, it's known as the Carina.

This body (ST190) had three different iterations.

1st iteration: EX Saloon

No airbag and ABS
Rear plate is on the bumper

2nd iteration

Driver airbag and ABS
Rear plate transferred to the trunklid
Added rear spoiler
New front grille
New wheel design

3rd iteration: Exsior

Same features as 2nd iteration
Extended front and rear bumpers
New grille and tail lights downgraded to red/orange from red/white

i like the 2nd iteration personally.

and yes, the Corona never made it to US. the Camry is Toyota's sole midsizer there.

another difference is that the Corona Exsior doesnt have rear courtesy lamps compared with the earlier models which is kinda weird.

ganun naman dito sa pinas pag last generation na tinitipid na nila.
I had an ex saloon once yung 93 model. push buttons na aircon ng exsior compared sa ex saloon na knobs lang

The Exsior is an ASEAN market facelift of the Corona.
I prefer the euro look(similar to the Carina) of the 1996 Corona EX Saloon.
Carina
