If you do not intend to go off the beaten path, stick with the Troopie. May moonroof ka pa. The engines are very powerful and the suspension is more car-like than in the more off-road oriented Patrol.

kung gusto mo matulin trooper. (hmmmmm ilan sec. kaya sa quarter mile to? heheh)

kung gusto mo mas maangas at mas pogi patrol ka na. madali lang daw covert into 4x4 yung 4x2.

the patrol provides you with a modern look and in terms of power i don't see that you'll be in a position where u will feel that it's underpowered. With 155hp i think it's more than enough. though the trooper is the most POWERFUL it's dated design is becoming unappealing to some people but it still has that following as with the pajero.
Now if isuzu will introduce the new Ascender then i guess i have to reevaluate my stance.

ako my choice na..
pareho ko tinest drive ang dalawa...kasi i need to buy SUV due to excise tax implementation on March 31...

TROOPER...car like...ok sa traffic...good suspension... more power...may looks naman yung satin silver - elegance...ABS...('though walang airbag, yung CRV nga in IceColdBeer di nag-activate ang airbag).

Jay Crew,

Thx. Same here, dream car ko din Patrol even when I was in college pa. Medyo malaki lang idadagdag ko which is unreasonable for me kasi twice a month lang ako nasa Manila.

And besides, I ask the rep kung pwede upgrade trooper into 4x4 and they said yes, dunno if it's true

patrol.

although the patrol's suspension is more on the harsh side (front axles with coil springs compared to IFS of other SUVs here), durability would never be a problem here.

and i've tried driving diesel SUVs here. the patrol has the smoothest running diesel by far.

Patrol for me, but for city use only, you'll probably be happier with the Trooper. note that you won't have the option of converting to 4x4 in the future with the trooper though
