2001 PATROL TDI problem

Hi everybody,
I need a good mechanic or shop that specializes in 2001 Patrol Di. Ayaw kong dalin Patrol ko sa casa. The problem is loss of power sabay ng pagingay ng makina. Thanks.

did the Engine Check light up? does your patrol emit black smoke when accelerating? is yes, your MAF might need cleaning or it may already be busted. try to remove it and clean it using contact cleaner.

The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor seems to be a likely culprit as Boybi mentioned. Try having it cleaned by a knowledgeable mechanic with some contact cleaner ro maybe have the CASA do a check on it. It's located right after the airbox and you shouldnt touch the pin sensor as it is a sensitive part.

Thanks Vinj and Boybi. I appreciate your help. Sadly, hindi MAF ang problem. Napilitan nakong dalhin sa casa. Fuel injection daw ang problema. Kailangang icalibrate. Nakakagulat ang presyo. P90t for the calibration only. Hindi pa kasama ang pagbaklas. Bosch lang daw ang pwedeng gumawa nun. Medyo masakit dahil 73t km pa lang ang mileage nun. I have the periodic maintenance works done religiously pa :-(

ay potek...sakit na nga ng patrol yan...tatlo na kayo...err.....make that four na kayong alam ko....wait......lima na pala...

90K nga ang calibration niyan...hindi ka pa sure kung maayos nila...

buto pa yung SAFARI....tangke sa tibay

jhol, did you regularly change your fuel filters (primary and secondary) every 20K kms?

i have logged 150K kms already in my patrol and so far, it still runs as if brand new.

Yes boybi, I change my fuel filters regularly. Malas ko lang siguro, yung sa auntie ko 200k kms na ang tinatakbo, wala pang problema.

Pwede naman i-calibrate iyan ng hindi sa casa. Or just ask the casa kung saan nila pinapadala ang units for calibration (malabo namang may sariling calibration equipment ang casa).

Ang alam ko Central Diesel Q.C. at Betan Makati nakakapagcalibrate ng GU. Yung Denso din siguro (sa Caloocan). Sila ang medyo high-end calibration shops dito sa Metro Manila. Sino ba may gawa ng injection system ng Patrol?
