astina. if it's any way mechanically similar to the 323 familia, parts shouldn't be a problem. and para sa kin mas maganda proportions niya.

Devil's Advocate: not bad yung Proton Wira hatch. While cosmetic parts might not be as easy to get as with the Mazda, it's all Lancer underneath.

Default Re: which compact 4-door hatch

thats why i only considered the wira hatch...

its a itlog lancer underneath the malaysian suit....and definately much-much cheaper sa astina..mahal lang ang evo1-3/librero/mirage parts,e...pero 6a10, 6a11, gdi/mivec 4g92...or the ever powerful 4g63T gives much justice to it.

i'm confused,e...626 hatch came sa mind ko..pero too big na....

astina, several jdm parts nalang ang efi b6/bpt....

lantis, rare at mahal.

subbie legacy, kabado ko sa parts, so as sa astra/zafira.(pero mahalpa mga yun,e...

gustohan ko din zuk esteem, pero parts, welll, masmadali siguro kaysa sa opels/subbie.

euro wagons is not my taste e...hay, kung may pera lang, di ako magkakaganito, BLACK FOCUS HATCH na agad

another devil's advocate: 626 hatch!!! heheh

next:
-Mazda Astina (although, technically its the oldest of the bunch)

-Proton Wira (a Lancer that wore a slightly different front and rear fascias)

-Kia Sephia (a looker, with Lotus tuned suspension, i think it only has 1.5L engine)

to be honest, di pa ko nakakakita ng interior and feel ng wira,e.....

may eunos version(jdm 626 hatch) akong nakitang dito sa QC circle!ganda! galing cebu(y ang plate...)

How about the early 80s FORD LASER? (its actually a Mazda 323). I think it came out with either a 1.3L and 1.5L engine for the hatch back version.

Always interesting, but cosmetic parts are hard to find, and 70's and 80's Fords are rust-o-philic in nature...

But the mutant projects possible are awesome... Ford 1.3 hatchback body with a 1.5 head and a Telstar 1.8 block. 14-15 second quarter miles... when nothing breaks... ...and the whole project would cost under 100k.
