SD33 yata ang designation niyan. Turbocharged as seen in Jappy's AMC Hammers.

What's the difference between the SD33 and RD28 engine of Nissan Patrol? Both have turbo and inline 6 cylinders.

2800 yung RD28 pero mas hi-tech na yun pagkakaalam ko. Ginamit din sa mga Safari like yours iyon, eh.

gestapo
it depends. meron kasi sd33 na 3.0L inline 6 no turbo. pero kadalasan naman 3.3L inline 6 with turbo. bagal yung walang turbo.

Ungas
mas mahina yung RD28, well dun sa experience namin. meron nun na 6 & 4 cylinders. ung ginamit namin before is a 6 cylinder. galing kasi sa kotse ng nissan yun sa japan eh. diesel. parang lumang cefiro ata.

otep
lam ko sa kotse ginamit ung rd28. pero baka naman ginamit nga din sa safari.

Ginamit yung sa Patrol for europe. Nagpare-pareho sila ng engine nung Pathfinder pick-up.

Bumalik din naman yung TD42 after. With turbo na!

We had one before and SD33 turbo yung engine niya. If you noticed, add some bulging flares to the boxtype Patrol then change the lights, you've got a Safari lookalike. Takaw lang sa kalawang yung car namin na yun (rustproofing and thorough wheel well carwashing is recommended).

Ungas, may nakita Patrol Safari with turbo... mabilis at sarap pakinggan yung turbo whine. I think you'd have to upgrade your clutch as well though. Sa LC80, nahihinaan ako sa stock clutch niya dahil sa power ng turbo.

The trouble with turbo is when you don't need it the it suddenly kicks in. Like in offroading, there are times that I want to maintain a slow steady speed with 2000-3000rpm, eh kung naka-turbo biglang kamot balaho agad nun. Adding turbo will definitely help in driving fast, but not necessarily an advantage in offroading.

pwede naman lagyan ng turbo timer, switch on na lang kung talagang kailangan

rodcarolino::: Does the "turbo timer" help in anyway in that department? One thing I know is that you cannot turn the turbo on or off. It usually kicks in at a certain engine rpm.
