Help me choose..Used BMW e39 (5 series) or e46 (3 series)??

My budget is 850k makahanap kaya ako ng either of these cars 2nd Hand???
3 series (e46 body) or 5 series (e39 body) Manual tranny for both.

Personally I'm leaning towards the e39, I like the styling, the 6 cylinder engine is standard and the bigger body will definitely be more comfortable. But if my budget can't fit and I must go for the smaller body (e46), I'm hoping to get the 6 cylinder.

Ang di ko lang sure kung makakahanap ako either of these within sa budget ko. Ano ba yung market prices ng second hand cars na ito????(take note manual tranny)

I'm specifying manual tranny in the hope na masmura yun maintenance & fuel costs, on top of the lower resale prices manual premium brand cars tend to sell at. Am I correct in assuming fewer people are looking in the 2nd hand market for a manual BMW so it will be cheaper???

Bihira lang dito yung M/T na ganyan. I'm pretty sure walang 6cyl na E46 at 850k. So at that price range, E39 or E36 lang choice mo.

For me, the E39, kasi larger. Also, I think German M/Ts are hard to get used to (experience ko are MB M/Ts... pangit!)

5 series na no regrets yan ! 100% its a very very good car talaga plus iba image mo na lalabas e tsaka may dating parin khit paano you cant go wrong with this car had ours for 4 yrs na no regrets

btw i dont think there is a manual tranny for the e39! manual lang na alam ko is on the m5 pero lahat matic ! pero alam ko mga nasa low 1m to yung 523i yung pre-facelifted version ng e39 on the e46 naman manual is 316i meron nyan nasa below 1m sure ako expecially yung 316i na prefacelifted version goodluck ! pero im sure your budget wont fit wither if 6clyc ang gusto mo coz sa e46 316i 318i 4 cyl both yung 323 or 325 yng 6cycl and sure ako mahal pa to. hope this info helps ! goodluck !

Where do you have your E39 serviced?

There are lost of service centers for BMW na hindi casa. Just search the forum and you'll see. It would be best if you look at car finder o buy and sell, at least dun di taga and yun presyo.

yup, hirap ng german MT, na praning ako sa MB 260E na nadrive ko tapos ng fifth gear na eh...4speed manual pala ang hayup...wow mali talaga! hehehe
pati sa E36 316i na nadrive ko...pero its a matter of getting used to it lang siguro.
