And also, m/t sana rin.
So far kase ang nahahanap ko palang are the converted skylines (700k), converted integras (400k), converted ek9s (400k), eclipse (700k kaso a/t), 3000gt (900k), lancer gsr (300k), at 240sx (350k)
Kung may alam pa po kayo na iba pang car o masmagandang deal paki tulong nalang po. ty!
how about a mazda miata? i think pasok yan sa budget mo, may matitira ka pa for performance parts ;-)
I've seen one and personally maganda po sya tingnan.. kaso masyadong maliit na para bang at any moment pwede kang mamatay kapag binangga ka. THe 2 seat capacity is also a problem... but i myt check one out if the price is good and reasonable. know someone na nagbebenta mura?
2-door SUVs? wala kasing masyadong 2-door dito...mga converted lahat.... uy, may rx-7 FC (or is it FD) na binebenta either dito sa tsikot ads/ dun sa ads ng kabilang site....cant remember,e...
may naliligaw ding FTO dito..and GTO (not Great Teacher Onizuka)dito

Could u show me a link of the rx-7 or the cars u mentioned?
eto nga pala ung link sa hcp, kaso wala na ata ung ek9 na binebenta. nag reset ata sila ng forum o nagbura ng classifieds. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Since price is a big issue for you, why not a Hyundai coupe na manual nalang. Pasok na sa budget n ok naman porma. Since brand new, reliability & maintenance shouldn't be an issue too. Not sure nga lang if youre after strong image as well though.
you can also browse through the last pages of the ads. may nakita ako don nagbebenta ng mga imports galing japan. ek3, ek4, celica, etc.... nasa davao nga lang ata. hehehe
If you're on a budget, forget a secondhand Skyline or 3000GT, you won't be able to afford the maintenance. You can get the 3000GT in LHD, but good luck finding parts. Skyline parts aren't as hard, but the quality of conversion will probably be so-so at those prices. Plus, cheaper and older Skylines have the interior ambience of a taxi cab... ( ). Unless you can afford an original conversion and a higher end model, it's not that good a buy.
Between RX-7s, maybe the FC. The non-turbo engine is more robust than the twin turbo one, unless the previous owner has already fixed the gaskets. But maintaining an RX-7 here is really a labor of love, and it's definitely not a daily car. It's better reserved for when you have the time.
I doubt your dad would approve any of the above cars, unless he's willing to care for it himself.
You're a college student, you'll probably need your ride every day, and you won't be able to fit trips to various shops to fix a secondhand sports car into your schedule... at least not while actually studying. (trust me on this)
An EK9 Type R or Integra isn't a bad choice. The parts may not be cheap, but they're easily available. The first generation Hyundai Coupe is nice and cheap, and is actually very fast (unlike the much heavier current model) as well as quite nimble. Kaya lang, it's not always first choice for "porma".
900k is a big budget. You can get a recent or brand new car for that much. Not interested in a Ford RS? (haha... shameless plug) The new Hyundai Coupe has just been priced beyond 1 million, but maybe you can find a 2003 or 2004 one for not so much. The Coupe will at least feel very special, with a great interior... leather sports seats and all, as well as good looks. It may be a little slow compared to your other choices, but it's a fine car you can use every day, and the steering does make it feel sporty.

Yup, tama si niky. Been there, done that, too. Mahirap talaga. Had to shelve the Benz in favor of the Kia for a while. Pero ngayon medyo may time na ulit. Yahoo.
