Default Hyundai Tucson 2.0L Gas comments

We're planning to buy this car. I already had test driven it I'm quite satisfied with its performance. Does anyone already own this? Care to comment on its performance and reliability? Thanks

hey...

test drove the crdi tucson this morning...and i must say that it's a great ride...very smooth driving, very quiet even at high speed, plus the features all bundled together! wow! but, im opting to get tyhe much affordable gas variant, will be going back sometime this week to test drive it...how about u? btw, fuel consumption for tyhe gas is around 8.5 km/liter (at least) for city driving...got it fropm a foreign ticson forum...

what d u plan to get?

On reliability, I think it's a bit early to tell, for the local market since it's a new offering. Perhaps other websites have inputs on this. Performance is okay. It's got a low end kick, but then it seems to lose some of this kick when the revs go up. And there are quite a lot of plastic touches on the interior, like the dash for instance. Customer space is great. Overall, it seems to be quite a solid SUV with a very reasonable price for SUVs of its size.

I also plan to get the gas version. I already test drove it and I must say the power is adequate. My real apprehension is really on reliability.

Hyundai is pretty reliable. Just look around at all the Starex on our roads.

yung sa akin 2wd , AT CRDI, bought in korea September 2004 while i was stationed there. So far, wala pa namang recall akong nabalitaan or nabasa pa.

yup the 4x2 2.0L tucson is a good buy indeed. medyo 'plasticky' lang yung materials and knobs sa loob pero forgivable naman..
