Toyota Vios 1.5G or Chevrolet Optra 1.6? Pls Help...

I'm new here at tsikot.com. I think this is a cool site where you can check out almost everything about cars. Anyway, I really need your help, I would like to know which is much better between Toyota Vios 1.5G and Chevrolet Optra 1.6.

I've driven both.

Impressions:

Toyota Vios 1.5G - A/T (2004)

Likes: more responsive and better road handling capabilities, airbag and abs, really nice lines and looks...doesn't need much to make it porma, good fuel economy, great power-to-weight ratio, toyota reliability and availability of parts and service, good resale value.

Dislikes: spartan interior, odd-looking radio, digital center instrument cluster (i prefer the analog ones found in the 1.3 Vios), dated NVH insulation, a little crowded if you have 4 passengers, the limp-sounding horn

Chevrolet Optra 1.6LS A/T (2004)

Likes: Nice interior trim, cool gated auto shifter, Blaupunkt cd/radio system, lots of passenger space...comfy for long rides, leather seats, abs, airbag, really quiet cabin, 2-year free PMS parts and labor, nice instrument cluster, questionable resalve value.

Dislikes: a little slow in response, esp. in trying overtaking, tires should be replaced, 3-piece front grille,minor reliability issues (i.e. batteries, warning lights lighting up for various reasons), horrible gas consumption for a 1.6L car, availability of service centers, questionable resale value.

ayaw mo ng vtec city or vtec jazz? these two might be within your budget. but choosing from a vios and an optra (new generation or not), i would choose a vios. dami kong narinig na horror stories from optra users eh..like the battery need to be refilled with water (na i think dapat maintenance-free battery na for the optra's price tag), and poor fuel mileage around 6-7km/l lang ata city driving compared to the vios' 12-14km/l.

The extra space isn't worth the gas consumption, IMHO. Vios. Or if you need a 1.6, Lynx. Consumption not good, but not as bad as the Optra. And it's also very cheap.

no brainer. its vios..better yet city or jazz. optra is one big lemon, daewoo in disguise!

saw a cute silver vios last week at eastwood. hanep ang set-up, iba ang grill, leather seats,naka ipod pa. too bad its fast becoming the new taxi after the corolla :-(

toyota vios 1.5 G ! sirain mga optra ! dami narin nagsasabi e hehe tsaka 2 kaibigan ko nakaganun nagsisi na hehe or better try mo yung suzuki swift ! kakalabas lang knina 1 ganda !! 1.5 engine rin looks like a mini cooper
