Cool help me choose Honda SIR/vti MTvtec3'01'02/others

Help me decide which car to buy, given a budget of 500kphp what is the best car to buy??

I really like the SIR look and its power, but then, i'm considering the interior design, comfort and the lifetime of the car. I'm not a racer and i dont plan to.. But of course, occasionally i want to speed up esp on high ways. I am also considering car's fuel efficiency.. sobra bang laklak sa gas ang SIR kesa sa vtec3 MT especially on city driving? Meron nman akong nabasa, mas maganda daw ang "feel" ng pagddrive with vtec 3?(true?) Di nman ako maarte sa comfort, ayoko lang ng sobrang uncomfortable( yung di na halos matiis)And i want to know the difference on their interior? bka mamaya stereo lang ang pinagkaiba nila, edi dun n lang ako sa SIR. Sobra bang bagal ng vtec3? I mean, if im driving vtec3, halos di n ba ako makakaiwan ng ibang auto on its class(meaning underpowered?)? About sa lifetime, ang consideration ko lang nman is bka sirain n SIR ksi may nagsabi skn na pag lagpas 4 years n ung car, nagkakaproblema na ung auto.
To people who have driven an SIR and vtec3, can you please tell me the exact difference, pros/cons. I really want to weigh the facts i'll be getting from here to make sure i wont regret what ill buy.
With 500k budget, kung di SIR ang gs2 nyo and ayaw nyo ng vtec3, then what do u prefer and why choose it than vtec3?

problem with the SiR is sobrang hirap maghanap ng sariwa pa. you'd get more good deals for your 500k with the newer model civic IMO.

same here. practicallity-wise, i will chose a VTi. or even an LXi kung daily drive lang. you can't even drive fast here in metro manila.

ok, what if may nakita ako n SIR na di na-abuse (ex. from a friend of my friend )
you'd choose SIR?
how bout sa fuel consumption nung dalawa? wala kasi ako idea, wala me masyadong alam sa kotse, feeling ko basta 1.6L pare pareho n lang yan.
pero kung wala akong mahanap na SIR na matino, what would u choose, VTI/LXI na SiR look or ung vtec3??

i know it depends on my driving style, pero ako, nakasanayan ko na na di ko pinapaabot sa 2500 rpm ko, gear shift na (on city). I'm still studying, so on weekdays, school-bhay lang ako..So madalas nasa traffic lang ako

I own SIR before and I also drive ES'04 (vtec3).

If you want comfort.. a really comfort get ES A/T.
less ES comfort then get M/T

If you find SIR'00 35-45K ODmeter, smell good inside, stock & orig SIR mags(enkie kasi stock mags ng SIR), Alang banga at dent, Orig color (lalo na kung Tafeta white or NHBlack) never pang nahilamos, stock engine, stock interior.. pag may nakita kang ganyan.. mag SIR k nlang.

Halos hindi nag kakalayo gas consumption ng dalawa..

pero iba p rin talaga EK sa ES when it comes Looks

i dont get it, why do you prefer a stock interior and mags? Kasi iniisip ko, pagka may namodify sa engine, medyo may doubt ako na pinang drag race sya. Pero kung sa interior and mags, i conclude the owner just wanted his car to look better. I think i'm missing something, can you explain why?
Can you explain the comfort you are talking about? Is it because of suspenson? Lastly, when u said di nagkakalayo gas consumption, which consumes more on a non aggressive driving style?
Thanks!!!
(pasensya na if you find my question irrelevant, i admit, wala ako masyadong alam sa kotse... i dont know how to measure comfort and the analogy behind car modifications)

why do you prefer a stock interior and mags? - mahal po Orig SIR mags. but kung naka concept one, Volks orig, Spoon mags etc basta orig e d mas ok. Why stock interior - mas alaga kasing tignan ang stock interior at malinis tignan but kung naka Bride, Recaro, Sparco inside ibang usapan n yon

Can you explain the comfort you are talking about? - not stiff, comfort in handling.. parang ES(Vtec3) mas comfort sya sa SIR.

Lastly, when u said di nagkakalayo gas consumption, which consumes more on a non aggressive driving style? - non aggressive.. hindi nga nag kakalayo.. VTEC3 M/T (10.75 Km/L) while SIR 9km/l.. di po ba hindi nag kakalayo. kung nag 7km/li ang SIR yan ang big difference.

hope this ans ur question

If you're looking for performance, SiR handsdown. I know a lot or people are concerned about the car being used and abused but if you think about it, the car was designed to perform and withstand a little abuse people can dish out. I would only be really concerned if the car was boosted or heavily modified. Pero kung stock pa din yung SiR, you should be fine.

If you get the opportunity, test drive mo pareho see which one you like better but I guarantee you that once you push the SiR over 5K RPM and VTEC kicks in, you will be hooked.
