99 Civic VTI M/T vs. 02 Lynx GSi M/T

Halos magkasing presyo po itong dalawang kotse na ito. Yun pung Lynx na sinasabi ko ay yung may projector headlights na.

1. Kumusta po ang Preventive Maintenance Services Parts (oil filter, plugs, etc.)?
2. Medyo rare sa kalsada natin itong Lynx, mahal kaya ang mga piyesa nito sa labas? May mga shops ba na nagbebenta ng parts ng Lynx?
3. Fuel consumption ng Lynx? City/highway?
4. Ride?
5. Suspension?
6. Transmission? Ok ba ang M/T ng Lynx? "Clunky" daw po ang MT nito. At mataas daw ang gearing. At 100 kph, 5th gear, nasa 3500 rpm ang Lynx, samantalang ang Civic nasa 2600 rpm.
7. Handling?
8. Engine? Meron din po bang VTEC o VVTi ang Lynx?

Get the Civic, resale value is much better, and it wins in economy, workmanship, power, and driveability. I'd only consider the Lynx to stand out since everyone and their brother has a Civic.

The Lynx will also overtake the Civic in age in a matter of a few years.

Civic. Many shops nowadays know the EK civic very well. The parts are abundant, there are also many good replacement parts.

The EK IMO is the best civic on the road maybe until the 06 model comes out.

2. if you are talking about OEM parts, Hondas are a little more expensive. Lynx parts can be bought at several Banawe shops (like Karmelcon & Fordland).

4. Lynx, a little stiffer than the Civic

6. Lynx, tranny is ok to me. tall gearing? not really...

7. Lynx... when its Protege MP3 identical twin in the US is being compared side by side to a 360 Modena, you know it is something special.

8. no variable timing trickery yet for the Lynx.

i will easily get a 2001 Lynx Ghia over an EK civic. kung yung 2002 GSi talaga... hmm... alin ba yung GSi? is that the base model? siguro sa Lynx pa rin ako. Civic is nothing special.

eh? a 3yr old lynx vs a 6yr old civic? i'd go for the lynx..the depreciation would have been greatly absorbed by the 1st owner either way

yung mga lynx alam ko mababa ang price so go for the lynx diba like bimmer said na absorb na ng first owner yung depreciation

Thank you sa reply mga tsikoteers! Yung GSi notch below the Ghia. No ABS, non-leather. Pero sa GSi 1.6 na engine na rin, all power, 4-wheel disc brakes.

Resale value nga niya medyo mababa.

well... not quite hehe, the Lynx is the Protege in the US with a different engine; if im not mistaken, the Lynx RS 2.0 is exactly the same as the MP3 apart from the skin
