Default Buying my first car: 95 Honda Civic Esi vs. 97 Mazda Familia GLXI

I need your help guys... I'm buying my first car and I'm having a hard time deciding between a 95 Honda Civic Esi vs. 97 Mazda Familia GLXI. Please share your thoughts on this one. It will be my first car and I just learned how to drive so I'm a total newbie . Any comment will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I do own a Honda car before and I can say is the disadvantage ng Honda are costly maintenance and spare parts compared to Mazda and replacements are also scarce. For Mazda, na-observe ko lang from my friend's 96 Mazda GLXi is mahina ang engine supports and malakas ang engine vibrations even when idle.

Generally, the ESI is a great car especially the engine. Just don't get the automatic tranny since I feel it is quite slow in shifting. Watch out for rust on the lower door wells. check if the power antenna still works.

yup... engine support ang weakness ng 323. but it ain't that bad. yung sa amin is mag 90K km na ang manageable pa naman.

sa features... mas marami ang glxi... power everything (cept antenna)... 10-disc cd changer... abs... 8-way adjustable driver's seat.

Thanks! Ang aga mag post ng mga tao dito ah .. anyways, i'd like to know your opinions din kung ano yung mga bagay na dapat ko i-consider as a newbie driver as I buy my first car. BTW, yung 95 esi binebenta sa kin for 170k and yung 97 familia glxi for 180k.

good buy na yung GLXi for that price. things to watch out sa 323:

- rear fender rust
- engine support (as discussed)
- idling

other than that... wala namang major problem...

get the Esi na manual tranny. You wont regret it. Just look at the resale value, 2 years pagkakaiba pero 10K lang difference sa price.

HTH.
