ok, wake up already hehehe...

si summer75 daw makukuha na yung fortuner niya bukas. i've cleaned up this thread for her (summer75, this thread is all yours hehe).

all the OT posts that used to be in this thread have been merged with the "Fortuner dealership woes" thread, also in this forum.

wolfpack -- no details, just the bottomline.

how do you rate the fortuner (overall) on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the lowest?

share naman your rating for the 2.7G and 3.0V

We only tested the 4x4 hence a 3.0 d4d, over all bottomline an 8.5.

You only see torsen LSD's and Full time 4wd with Low range and locked in the center when in low range on vehicles priced nearly 3 million and up. Now thats progress for the comon car buyer in the fortuners price range.

Now if your the type who is just after the latest shiniest new ride and wont be using it the way its suppose to be used, just buy a innova.

not really. we have a lot of roads outside of luzon (i.e. interisland visayas) where a 4x2 vehicle, with adequate ground clearance and large tires will suffice. try passing through the san carlos to bacolod road via don salvador benedicto (mt. kanlaon) and you will know what i mean. i fact, just driving off the interisland car ferry (ex danilo lines) at low tide off toledo port in cebu gives a lot of low ground clearance vehicle owners the shivers.

i own a gen 2 pajero and travel that route often and i hardly use the 4x4 mechanism. but the high ground clearance and large tires help a lot. unless i am technically wrong, the fortuner's 2.7G gas engine is more powerful than the pajero gen 2's 2.5 TDIC engine, or am i wrong?

sayang at wala kayong review sa 2.7G variant. are you planning a review for this in the future? i was hoping that your review would cover both variants
