Default Altis 1.6E vs Lynx Ghia

Peeps,

I can't decide which unit to buy. I'm choosing between a Toyota Altis 1.6E (P780T) and Ford Lynx Ghia (P765T). 1.6 Engine and A/T.

This is will be our second car (for kids and the wife )

Thanks in advance.

since its for your wife and kids, i'd go for the toyota (no hassle maintenance since it's a toyota). but you still can't beat the value for money lynx (moonroof, leather seats, etc)

Ghia. i don't believe in the wife minding about the car. anyway, brand new yan kaya wala pang problema yan. kung magkakaroon man later on, you're still the one minding it, correct?

Toyota and FORD? Even the american pinoys choose TOYOTA. It's tougher daw and easier to maintain... Ford's a bit pricey on parts unless 3 to 5 yrs wrnty nila... pero Altis padin...
FYI: Toyota's the no1 car dealer on the 1st qrtr this yr..... 20 to 30% share on cars and auvs even their hi-ace van.

Thanks for the inputs guys. Hirap din mamili, I can't ignore the Ford's features ie moonroof, leather seats, back up sensor, ABS, dual airbag and disc brake. hay naku...meron pa low down payment P82,000 lang.

TY po ulit.

Default Altis 1.6E na

Some good reasons to choose Toyota:

1. world car model ng Toyota, hindi regional like the Lynx so expect better overall design

2. may rumors na tatanggalin yung Lynx line and replace with Focus..implications include resale and spare parts availability

3. I got my 1.6E @ 710K (ask for the discount, from 735k)

4. VVT-i is the way to go vs. the standard Lynx engine (not the RS ha)

5. Reliability - just one breakdown from the less reliable choice is enough headache to regret the choice

i saw the lynx ghia at shang last week. the interior's great. actually got some of my idea's for customizing my vios' interior from the ghia's interior design. the lynx features like the leather interior, abs , air bags, dual back sensors are things that are not present in the altis 1.6 e or j. But that is more of Toyota Philippines penny pinching ways rather than anything else.
Anyway, the lynx would be a better choice for the short term but long term, the altis is better because of maintenance and resale value.
But the RS is a better buy if you're getting a lynx as i am sure that its sporty engine and looks will maintain their value.

Bender, just to clarify but the Altis 1.6E has ABS, driver side airbag (passenger side not advisable for kids) and EBD. I would have gotten an RS if budget was available.
