Default Corolla A/T 98 or Sentra STA 2000

i'm planning to buy for my wife's car (service for my daughter in school). my preference is w/ airbag / abs for their safety, & comfort. This will be used for 3 years, then palit na ng bago (rav4). My budget is 300-350K w/c includes initial cash out for some items like parts / transfer of ownership, etc. I'd like to ask for opinions of tsikot peeps between the two choices or other choices w/ my basic requirements.

thanks in advance for the reply...

I'd usually go with the newer car... 3 years from now, the resale value of both cars will more or less be the same but i do think it'll be easier to sell the Corolla.

Comfort-wise, the Sentra has an edge since it has more space then the '98 Corolla. Safety-wise, both have ABS and airbags so quits lang but i think the Sentra body is heftier.

Corolla 98 vs Sentra STA 2000.

I would get the Sentra.

Reasons:
-slightly more rear leg room
-more comfortable suspension (some complain that that Corolla AE111 suspension is a bit stiff)
-sunroof (hey, the corolla doesn't have it)
-(not sure) power folding side mirrors (the series3 has them, dunno if the STA model does)

Stuff where both cars are good:
-cold aircon
-reliability
-relativity cheaper parts than honda

sentra sta...fully loaded: cold calsonic automatic aircon, leather seats, 10disc panasonic sound system, sunroof, power folding mirrors...suspension is better than the corolla...corolla frame is very light for the engine so if you go 120 - 140, umaangat na yung front...downside of sentra: heavy doors and low resale value but second hand naman kukunin mo, so mas konti lang malulugi mo... =)

sentra! ganda ng interior at may sunroof! is the 98 corolla still the big body type? if not, maliit masyado loob nun. at mas malambot nga ride ng sentra.

98 corolla is AE111 in the selection

based sa test drive ko parang mas may hatak ang corolla, parang hirap na hirap umarankada yung sentra at 60kph...
is this true or may problem lang yung 2 sentra na na-test drive ko...
