Default which suv

good day mga peeps, need inputs from tsikot experts, if you have to choose between a 96 patrol safari and a 96 pajero, all terms being equal except for the obvious fact that the patrol has a bigger engine displacement, saan po kayo?

Pero on the road, ok ang Pajero. Mas maluwag ang cabin kaysa sa Safari. More shoulder and leg room, better built interior, etc.

Sometimes gusto ko talaga magsisi...pero mas marami na kong alam about Pajeros ngayon kaya mukhang its here to stay. (ayos ba ang taglish ko? )

Ha! I'd vouch for the meaner engine ofcourse, if we are tackling about the same price tag for same year model units.

I do find the Patrol's interior snug fit for all of its occupants, while the Pajero was blessed with all spaces and ammenities. But for offroad use, being snug to your seats means less injury if you happen to hit bumps after bumps of trailing.

OT: Konyotik na konyotik ka fafa!

ako naman, i have already lived out my offroad days, for now, going to try the street SUV look naman for a few years, kaya i am more inclined to the comfort and easier drive of the pajero. mas bagay din sa pajero na naka 18" rims.

so ibig sabihin ba na hindi komportable para sa tatlo yong 2nd row seat ng safari?how would it compare to a typical auv,sa tingin ko kasi parang mas malapad sya sa paj.

Exterior wise the Patrol is wider than the Pajero. 3 people can fit in the 2nd row. But interior is almost the same.

It's not fair to compare the seat quality of an SUV to an AUV. Since the latter uses thinner foams and springs.

ah okey, family car pa rin kasi ang magiging labas nito kaya medyo concern sa passenger comfort, considering na madalas biyahe namin yong dagupan-ilagan, isabela.presently were using a hiace grandia w/c is okey for this purpose, kaya lang nakakainggit kasi yong mga safari pagdating dalton pass/sta.fe trail, parang effortless pag umakyat ng bundok. he he he

Passenger comfort, Pajero talaga.

Engine Power, Patrol TD42.

The seats are too low to the floor and hindi stadium-style seating (yung mas mataas ang 2nd row) kaya medyo puro headrests lang ng front seats ang makikita mo.

If you will be constantly having rear passengers, better give it some thought. The rear doors of the Safari and Pajero are smaller than most AUV's. Getting to the back seat is not an easy feat as the rear wheelarch reduces the narrowest point of the door opening (the floor) to just a little more than a foot wide.

Re the off-roading bit: Malaking factor pa din ang driver diyan...Some don't even know what a difflock is for.

hmm, a friend of mine is complaining on the 2nd row seats of the gen2.5 pajero. one time, sya nalang ang nagdrive at pinaupo yung driver sa 2nd row. meron na kasing nakaupo sa front passenger seat.
binenta nalang nila yung pajero and bought a 4x2 patrol a/t.

Other upgrades to follow pag nagkapondo ulit.

High seating capacity nga, compared to mine. Advantage naman kasi ng lower window sill and seats pag offroad, di gaanong nakakalula pag tumatagilid.
