Question Nissan, Toyota or Mitsubishi Diesel?

Which among the 3, shempre Isuzu is already the benchmark, has the best and worst diesel engine? I want the new Prado kaya lang it's diesel...

That would depend on which diesel engine we are talking about.

Honestly, I think Mitsubishi's 4M41 will kick the crap out of the current Trooper's engine and will have the edge compared to the Prado's diesel.

Mamaya ko na lang itutuloy. Lunch na.

Nissan Diesel proved next inline when it comes to emmissions. Toyota ahead by intercooled turbo R&D. Newer Mitsubishi/Hino diesel engines need to prove something more other than the specs on spreadsheets.

Like what? Dirty fuel issues? The 4M41 is simply the best lightweight Japanese diesel engine available.

well if you really like a prado, you can find a gas version in the gray market, its about the same price or even cheaper

The Nissan Patrol 4.2 Turbo Diesel is not the Best Diesel 4wd of the year for nothing.

The Mitsubishi's 4m41 is the most powerful diesel engine in the segment today. And has proven itself to be a reliable and dependable unit. There have been no major design faults or build quality issues regarding the 4m41 since it was launched with the GEN III Pajero a few years back.

Mitsubishi's 4d56, on the other hand, is low tech low-power and can be high emissions at times. But it is simple as a rock, easy to fix and is very reliable. It may be smoky and slow but it will get you there.

Yes, the Prado is available with a gasoline engine. But IMHO, IF I'm gonna get from the gray market I might as well get the 4Runner. It shares almost everything with the Prado but is lower priced and has sportier intentions.

whats your parameter?
speed? torque? durability?
mahirap mag-generalize
and each brand has different engine models
all has its own pros and cons.
