imho the corolla xl is very low tech compared to the vios...which is both its worst and best point. low tech means that its relatively easier to service, source parts, etc...meaning low maintenance. Ung vios kc is already EFI, and while it is more hi tech and potentially more fuel efficient, maintenance might be a more expensive. Thats why ung mga bagong taxis ngayon panay corolla xl. They're not particularly impressive rides, pero they're toyotas, and they're cheap to maintain
space, i think, is another consideration: ako mismo di ko rin masagot kung which of the two has bigger interior space, pero parang (and i emphasize the word parang) mas maliit ung interior ng vios kesa corolla xl
the corolla 1.3 xl has puny pulling power though! :P (although have never driven a vios..) and the mirrors are a joke! they are not powered, and they don't have the little lever to adjust them from inside.. so you have to roll down the window (which is not powered..) to adjust them! and, the brake and clutch pedals are too close for comfort.. (or maybe it's just me..) twisted my leg on that..
u can install all the mods u want, but i don't think i'll ever see a 1.3L beating a stock 1.6L in a drag B).
imho cars like the 'rolla xl aren't really meant to be pang porma...ung pagkatipid kasi ung laban nya .
