Nissan's multi-link suspension has the comfort ride compared with the Civics. While the latter makes up for it's sporty feel and less body roll on fast corners.

Multi-link Beam suspension ang tawag ng Nissan sa rear suspension nila.
Multi-link suspension ang tawag naman ng Mitsubishi sa suspension ng Lancer nila.
spare parts, nissan and honda are trailing each other when it comes to prices.
they both have their innovations like nissans multi link beam & honda's double wishbone
they both have their own "prestige"
i would recommend the sentra because its a newer model, but i don't know if you folks would agree with me, what made honda won over nissan, mitsubishi, & toyota on passenger car sales for about 5-6 years is their terrific service.
thanx for the replies, greatly appreciated. how about in terms of durability? matibay din kaya ang nissan? kya lang esi's are older than nissan e. just wonderin why esi's are still expensive compared with nissan's.

nissan cars are just as durable as honda as long as you keep up with the regular maintenance. The advantage of getting a 2nd hand nissan is the low price of a good value car because of the market perception that nissans are "kalampagin".
Hondas are expensive even in the 2nd hand market because of the market demand (supply & demand). Nothing more than that.

Sentra series 3 is a better deal than getting a civic esi because of the age of the car. You will have maintenance issues with the civic esi because of old age like worn out rubber bushings and engine bearings, etc.
As for ride type, its a personal choice. I suggest you give both cars a test drive.
i dont think the price of 2nd hand cars is determined alone by supply and demand. there are plenty of 2nd hand toyotas available (26 million corollas has been produced so far) but the price of a corolla is still higher than that of a sentra or lancer. maybe this will help:
