is this vtec? i made a video !

i recorded a video, me with my mother haha, i rev'd it up to 5,000 rpm but i dont know if the vtec activated.

did you feel something that kick'd in?or a "fsssshhhht" kinda like sound? ..sometimes you'll feel it ,most of the time when you're going beyond 5kRPM in first or second gear when the engine is near the red line(hope my idea/experience sounded right regarding your question).

i believe, that the vtec did not yet activate. medyo napaaga po pag shift mo nang gear from 1st to 2nd. usually, vtec kicks in, for sohc, at around 5.5K rpm. tama si sir [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], also pag parang lumuwag na ung paghinga ng engine,nag kick in na vtec mo. drive safe bro.....at dapat alang mother!

hahahhaha! oo ganun talaga mga nanay haha! ilang beses ko na kasing tinry wala naman kasi ako nafifeel na nasipa or something, almost 6.5k nako dyan sa 1st gear, tinry ko uli kagabi wala talaga akong marinig hnd katulad ng sa youtube n nkkta ko, very noticeable yung pagbago ng engine tone nila eh. kasi sa pagkakarinig ko parang walang nag "o-open" eh, kasi diba parang, "boooooooonnnnnnngggggggg........waannnnnggggg ggg" dapat kung nag on vtec. gawa nga kayo video ng vtec nyo, patngn ako hehe.

Kung hanggang 6.5K na ang RPM mo dun sa video at ganun pa rin ang tunog, for me hindi nagVTEC para kasing normal lang. hehe

Parang yung nanay mo kaboses ng makulit na nanay ni ariel. ginawa mo pa ata camera man ang nanay mo. hehehe...

sir pinanood ko yung vid mo, sa tingin ko nag activate naman yung vtec hindi lang masyado ramdam, around 4k rpm palang prang nag activate na pero mas narinig ko sa 5.5k rpm yung vtec.

stock paba ung civic mo?

parang wala nung oil pressure switch! nakita ko sa net kulay green ata dapat yun sa may baba nung solenoid, yan yung solenoid dba, yung parang malaking cylinder?

That car is heavily modified and tuned, di patas ang laban. Better race both non modified car to see the true performance. Stock car, modified driver is much better !!!!

sir my car is all stock, from paint down to the engine.





nabasa ko nga pala around 3k daw ang activation ng vtec sa vti models 96-00. kung 3k nga tlga, e ramdam ko lumalakas hatak pag sa 3k na, pero above 3k constant na sya, hnd na uli nalakas hatak.

pag nagopen n ung vtec s 3k rpm ramdam m prin hatak nun hanggang 6k pero kung gusto m talaga mramdaman ung hatak ng vtec try m mag I.H.E mods,,, medyo maririnig mo na activation ng vtec s civic mo.

btw nice clean car and engine bay. sana ganyan din kalinis civic ko

Normally nag oopen yan mga 5.5rpm. try to reach 5.5rpm in 3rd shift dun mo mararamdaman yan, pero sa safe and wide road, yung walang dadaan kasi baka magaya ka sa akin ng drift yung car pag apak ko sa brake. May hinayupak na adventure na tumawid nung malapit na ko sa kanya hay may bad....hindi ko na uulitin yun sa express way na lang siguro.
